ET 630 Digital Democracy Project
In ET 630, Digital Communication for Educators, we explored digital citizenship, digital literacy, and global education. Working with four students in my cohort, we wrote a paper on digital democracy in the classroom from pre-kindergarten through graduation. The paper highlighted how students would experience and take part in activities and projects with real-world connections and impacts that taught and helped them practice digital literacy skills. Each grade level section included prerequisites, scope and sequence, activities focused on digital citizenship, digital literacy, and global connections, real life challenges, and next steps. Sample lesson plans were included in the Appendix.
